How to make
Mega Cheese Balls with Tomato Sauce
(yields around 16 small cheese balls)
This Post is for all the CHEESE lovers out there.

Ingredients:
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese ( shredded )
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese ( shredded )
- 2 slice cheese and shred ( any company will do )
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 tbsp. All purpose flour.
- 2 tbsp. oregano powder
- 2 tbsp. basil powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt ( since cheese already has salt in it )
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
For covering ( 3 options ) :
- 1 egg (beat the egg in a bowl)
Options either (you can choose to make all or just one type )
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 3 tbsp. oats
- 3 tbsp. bread crumbs
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 small onion chopped finely
- 1 clove garlic chopped finely
- 1 small tomato chopped
- 2 tbsp. tomato paste
- 1/2 cup cooking cream (optional ) you can use water instead
- 1 tbsp. oregano
- 1 tbsp. basil
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp.salt
- Mix all the three cheeses .
- Add egg ,salt ,pepper ,oregano ,basil
- Then add the flour to form a dough.
- Then with your hand form small balls.
- Then to cover them beat one egg.
- Dip the ball in the egg and then dip in either flour ,oats or bread crumbs to coat.
- Then fry them in oil. (You do not need to deep fry them around 4 tbsp. of oil in a small pan is enough )
- Heat the olive oil in pan then and onion and garlic until they turn golden brown
- Then add tomato paste , basil ,salt ,pepper ,oregano.
- Then add the tomato and leave to cook until the tomato have become par of the paste.( It will still be bitty )
- Finally add cooking cream and stir leave to cook for 5 min until the sauce reduces.
Notes:
- Do not over fry the cheese balls then should turn only a golden brown
- Out of experience children have preferred the bread crumbs coating while elders have preferred the oats coating.
- MAKE SURE you only fry them right before serving otherwise they will dry up.
- Placing the cheese balls in the fridge before making them for and hour is always preferable,although it is not necessary.
