Recipe #9 PASTRY WITH OREGANO CHICKEN AND DRIED TOMATO


How to make Homemade Pastry
 
with Oregano chicken and sun dried Tomato 






 Ingredients for Pastry Dough :
1.     1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2.    1 tsp. Salt
3.    1/3 cup of cold water
4.    ½ cup soft butter

Ingredients for the Filling :

1.     2 chicken breast fillet chopped into cubes
2.    1 tbs. salt
3.    1 tbs. oregano
4.    1 tbs. pepper powder
5.    1 carrot (cubes)
6.    1 zucchini cut into cubes
7.     1 onion chopped finely
8.    4 cloves garlic crushed

9.   1/4 cup chopped sun dried tomato (You can substitute this for 1small finely chopped tomato) 
10. 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella  cheese 

Method :
1.     Place the butter and salt and mix together
2.    Then add flour and gradually add the water to form a dough
3.    Leave the dough to rest for 20 mins
4.    Oil the pastry tins
5.    Then place the dough in the pastry and make sure it cover the whole base and side of the pastry tin
6.    Then get a frying pan heat a tsp. of oil for 2 mins.Then add garlic 
7.    Then place the chicken and fry
8.    In another pan add the onion garlic until it turns brown
9.    Then put the salt, oregano, pepper, zucchini
10.  Then place the chicken and the vegetable mixture into the pastry tin.

11.  Place in oven for 15 mins
12. Before the pastry turns a golden brown take out of the oven and put cheese on each of the pastry tins then place dried tomato.
13. Return to oven for 5 mins.
