Recipe #10 Reem's Chicken Pulao (Rice dish)


How to make 

Reem's Chicken Pulao 
Asian Dish 



A simple and perfect recipe for loved ones.Comfort food with a fusion of many flavours

Ingredients:
  1. 2 inch of ginger
  2. 8 cloves garlic
  3. 1 tbsp. water
  4. 1 large onion diced
  5. ¼ cup of oil
  6. 1 tbsp. red chili powder
  7. 1 tbsp. turmeric
  8. 1 tbsp. coriander powder
  9. 1 tbsp. Bombay biryani mix
  10. ½ tbsp. cumin
  11. 1 tbsp. salt
  12. 3 pepper corns
  13. Defrost Chicken pieces
  14. 3 cups water
  15. ½ bunch of coriander leaves chopped
  16.  juice of on large lemon or 2 tbsp. lemon juice.
  17. 1 large potato cut into several pieces
For Rice:
             1.     4 cups water

        2.    1tbsp. oil
        3.    1tbsp. salt
        4.   2 cups Basmati rice 
       



Method :
Part 1 
  1. Place ginger, garlic and 1tbsp. of water and grind in mixer till it forms a paste.
  2. Take a small bowl and mix all the dry ingredients.
  3. Then take a large pan and place the oil and heat.
  4. Then fry the onion in the oil until it turns golden brown.
  5. Then add the ginger/garlic paste and the dry ingredients and mix well.



Part 2 
  1. Then add defrosted chicken and mix well.
  2. Then add 3 cups water and bring to a boil.
  3.  Then add the coriander leaves and lemon juice and cook on a slow gas for 30 minutes.
  4. In a small frying pan fry the pieces of potato just until they get a light brown colour.
  5. Then add the potato in the chicken mixture.
Part 3 
  1. In a large pan bring 4 cups of water to a boil and oil and salt.
  2. Then in a separate bowl, wash 2 cups of rice several times (the water should go from cloudy to clear)
  3. Then drain water from the rice
  4. Then place the rice in boiling water and cook for 5 minutes (should not be completely cooked).
  5. Then strain the rice in a sieve (Be careful this process has a lot of steam do not burn yourself)
  6. Then add rice to the chicken mixture and cook for another 30 minutes.
  7. Then it is ready to serve.
